Dillard’s Beauty Trend Show
Miss Bay Area Nicole Golyer, Miss Houston Taylor Lanning, and Miss Houston Teen Hannah Johannes participated in Dillard’s Beauty “Trend Show” at the Galleria store. The girls modeled fashion spring clothes and interacted with the customers with the newest beauty trends.

Miss Houston Pageant
Tonight was the Miss Houston Pageant! It was some tough competition and all the girls should be proud of themselves. Denise put on a wonderful show. I am so happy for Taylor Lanning!! Congratulations girl!

Playground Clean-Up
Today I went to Memorial Parkway Elementary to help plant trees and cleanup the playground. I helped the Girl Scouts pick up trash in heels and all! I am pictured with Jr Miss United States, Lauren Sage Browning from Kansas!

Sugar Plum Market Fashion Show
Nikki Golyer, Miss Bay Area 2010, modeled in the Sugar Plum Market Fashion Show. The show was produced by Arnold Vasquez and raised $130,000 for Fort Bend local charities including the Fort Bend Community Partners Rainbow Room, Fort Bend Junior Service League Community Assistance Fund, Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Fort Bend County Women’s Center, and The Literacy Council of Fort Bend County. Nikki’s clothes were from Urban Rendezvous, Macy’s, Joann’s Clothing, and The Wardrobe.

Miss Austin Trip
Tonight was the Miss Austin Pageant. Very excited for the girls who won tonight! It was a great show! I am hoping I will get to room with Miss Austin at Miss Texas USA! Congratulations to the new winners!

Special Olympics Visit
Today I went with Miss United States-International to Austin for the Special Olympics. All the athletes believed we were “Disney” princesses! We dance the Cupid Shuffle, Electric Slide, and the Chicken Dance. It made me very happy to see so many college kids like myself volunteering to help out at this rewarding event. I also got to meet a proud girl named Jana who was in the movie, The Ringer! She was in the pool scene which you can find on Youtube.com.

Texas Pageant Expo
Wow! The Pageant Expo was a success!! I got to know numerous girls who are interested in competing for Miss Houston and Miss Teen Houston. I believe next year the Pageant Expo will be even bigger and stronger! I see much potential in it.

ARTreach
Today was the kids festival in Katy. It was sponsored by ARTreach, a non-profit that brings the arts to special needs children, at risk children, and the elderly.
